Ideas for Blogs

Filed under: Uncategorized — Lisa Toulon @ 12:26 pm and

We learned about blogs today in our technology class.  Before we started, we thought blogs were for journaling and conversations.  After we looked at examples, we had some more ideas.  Our comments tell about our new learnings and how we think we can use blogs.

  1. I discovered the amazing benefits that blogging can bring to the classroom. With so many examples and ways to apply it to the classroom, I am sure to implement blogging this school year into the reading and language arts curriculum.

  2. I started out not really knowing what a blog was, let alone, what to do with them. I’m just going to have go give this some serious thought about how I would use this in my classroom. Doing it on just the one computer in the classroom may not be the best way. Maybe doing it in the computer lab would be better.

  3. By looking at the examples you gave I can see the possibilities. The one you had your class do with the caterpillars was a good example of where a teacher can atart. It just about my level off understanding.
Your suggestions to first blog/journal and get comfortable with that and then go to the next step. And then your comment that that you did not start the first year allows me feel I could do this.
